ABOUT MENA

Mena Wyman began their dance training at Inspire School of Dance in Naperville, IL. Throughout their childhood, Mena trained at many places around the Chicagoland area, including Extensions Dance Center & Visceral Dance Center. After widening their exposure to dance at programs such as Interlochen Arts Camp, Hubbard Street Summer Intensive & Boston Conservatory Summer Dance Intensive; Mena decided that dance was the path for them.
Now pursuing a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at The Boston Conservatory, Mena continues their movement journey. Currently studying with esteemed faculty such as Marcus Schulkind, Kurt Dougals, Brian McGinnis & Jun Kuribayashi, Mena also focuses much of their energy into choreography & teaching. While at the Conservatory Mena has performed works by José Limón, Loni Landon & Joseph Toonga.
Mena has shown their choreography at many student organised showcases, as well as choreographed for Cambridge Rindge & Latin School Modern Dance Company. With a special interest in story-telling, Mena hopes to uncover all the possibilities of how different mediums of art practices can influence, supplement, and co-exist with movement.
